Message from K. V. Estess, Co-Owner, Southern Green Inc.,
Makers of the Soil Reliever Deep Aeration System |
"Southern Green, Inc. developed the first successful deep tine coring tubes and then improved them over the past 20 years, even supplying other aeration equipment manufacturers. We know that making a good quality tine is not as simple as it looks …too soft and it will bend ...too hard and it will snap like a carrot. Getting the right strength, durability and achieving good hole quality takes experience and an understanding of our customers needs.
On our solid tines, the smaller ones 8, 10, 12 and 18 mm, we use a 50-degree cut. By turning the cut towards the tractor, a 50-degree cut will eliminate picking on smooth surfaces. With our coring tines, the three most important things are:
(1) cutting and leaving a smooth surface; (2) ejecting material; and (3) durability.
Therefore, each coring tine must be a cutting tool that will properly eject material in different soil conditions and at the same time leave an extremely smooth surface. Over a period of time, we have achieved all of these with our coring tines. You will find that these are the highest quality coring tines on the market." |
